H&M’s new Home collection – affordable & stylish
For those of you who have not had a chance to visit one of H&M’s new Home stores, I have you covered. I recently shopped at one and loved the company’s new home décor accessories. If you like H&M’s clothing, there’s a good chance you’ll like their stylish Home collection. Just like their clothes and accessories, their home products are reasonably priced and fashionable.
This window display showcases some of the hottest trends this year: anything tropical, geometric and brightly colored. Read on to see what else I found.
The Swedish retailer is extremely popular in Europe and started making its way to North America only a few years ago. They opened their first location in Canada at West Edmonton Mall. They used the location to test the market before opening additional stores across the country. The test must have been successful; they recently opened more stores, the newest one in Toronto. As for the United States, the first store opened in Georgetown, D.C and since then more locations have opened. Click here to find one near you.
We often hear that runway fashion influences home fashion, so it’s not surprising to see clothing retailers extend their fashion expertise into decorating our homes. At H&M Home you’ll find items for the living room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and outdoor living.
If you’re looking for fresh ideas to shape up your space for Spring, you’ll like these affordable ideas that won’t bust your budget. A popular theme is anything tropical such as palm trees, exotic birds, jungle, and rain forest. Other home fashions include geometric patterns, wood and rustic décor.
You’ll find a large selection of pattern cushion covers with tropical patterns and lots of bright yellow.
These stylish glass boxes, metal vases and bowls, brushed metal tea light holders are practical to keep shelves tidy and pretty.
A few years ago the owl was the animal on trend, now the “big” trend is elephants. H&M’s home collection features elephants on just about anything for around the house from kitchen biodegradable cloth to shower curtains, aprons, tea towels, tablecloths and more.
There’s lots of pretty pink and powdery pastels this season. And the latest big trend to pop up that is impossible to escape is the pineapple trend. The tropical fruit motif is printed on towels, curtains, aprons, and comes in the shape of candle ceramic holders, vases and other accessories.
Geometric prints continue to grow in popularity. They’re great to add visual interest to interiors on cushions, throws, rugs and pretty containers.
I love these antique-finish wooden baskets and trays, and braided straw baskets they instantly add a touch of rustic to interiors.
Take a peek at H&M’s interior collection on their Home sweet Home Pinterest board, it’s chock full of great styling ideas.
