Dad, You’re AWESOME!
Often the most memorable gifts are the ones made by the kids in our lives. They are the gift ideas that don’t cost a dime, but are made with love and that parents proudly display in their home for years, even after the kids have left the nest.
The LEGO movie was such a big hit this year that it inspired us to get crafty and design our own fun picture frames for Father’s Day. Make frames to display on tables and dressers, some to hang, or create a cool design by displaying LEGO pieces in shadow boxes.
The beauty of this idea is that these frames are safe for decorating kids’ rooms if you use plexiglass instead of glass to protect your kids’ masterpieces, or forgo the glass completely and leave the front of the frame open.
This is a fun creative project that both younger and bigger kids will love doing. Kids will also get a thrill from switching their pictures or drawings as often as they want.
P.S. If you have not seen The LEGO movie yet, the DVD release is June 17. It’s an AWESOME movie.
