Perk up a room with one accessory
In fashion, accessories can make or break an outfit. The same is true when it comes to decorating. The right accessory can make a huge style statement in a room – in my case, it’s my bathroom.
Here’s my bathroom before and after. There was nothing wrong the way it looked before, but because of the high ceiling I felt that something else was needed above the black and white print. There was too much blank wall space.
When I spotted this antelope wall mount at Bouclair, I knew it was the missing piece I needed to complete my bathroom puzzle. White was perfect. I didn’t want anything colored to detract from the black and white color scheme of the room. Adding a 3-D wall accessory brings this room to life, plays up the nature inspired theme and increases the quirkiness factor of the room.
All in all, the faux antelope head makes a surprising focal point that every guest enjoys, including me. Especially since a friend pointed out that I (unintentionally) brought to life the lyrics for the classic song Home On the Range, ‘…where the deer and the antelope play. Where seldom is heard a discouraging word. And the skies are not cloudy all day.’
