DécoScrews are designed to securely hang heavy wall décor in standard drywall without puncturing wiring or plumbing. This screw and anchor in one is designed with a cone shaped shank that can hold items up to 30 lbs on a single screw. DecoScrews are easy to install with either a flat or Phillips screwdriver.

They are perfect for hanging pictures, clocks, mirrors and other wall décor in drywall, in record time. Please do not use these screws to install floating shelves.

WHY IS THE HEAD SHAPE DIFFERENT?

The patented design of the head creates a groove between the back of the head and the wall to make sure whatever you hang on it, stays there. DécoScrews work with all types of hanging hardware such as picture wire, sawtooth hooks, D-ring and keyhole hangers.

All of our wall décor products are designed to work together to create a system that allows you to quickly and accurately hang wall décor in exactly the right spot, without any guessing, measuring or mistake holes.

Use the Hang & Level picture hanging tool to mark exactly where the DécoScrew goes into the wall. Once you have installed the DécoScrew into the wall, your picture will hang in exactly the same spot, every time.

Q: Will DécoScrews™ work on a floating shelf?

A: We recommend that you use a traditional wall anchor and screw combination to hang wall shelves. The weight loads that wall shelving is subjected to can vary greatly, so it’s important that it is affixed to the wall as securely as possible. With this combination, you can adjust the amount that the screw extends from the wall to perfectly hold your specific wall shelf.

Q: Do DécoScrews work in plaster walls?

A: No. DécoScrews™ are designed specifically to work in drywall, and may cause damage to a plaster wall. 

Q: Will DécoScrews™ hold double the weight if you use 2 of them?

A: No. While it’s true that hanging an item using two hangers will distribute the weight over two points, which will allow you to hang more weight on them together, it will not double the weight capacity for a single hanger. Always follow the recommended weight limits for the product.

Q: Do DécoScrews™ work with any kind of hanging hardware?

A: The patented shape of the DécoScrews™ head is designed to work with all common types of hanging hardware including picture wire, D-rings, sawtooth hooks and keyhole hangers.

Q: How do DécoScrews™ work?

A: Our patented DécoScrews™ combine the features of a wall anchor and a screw into one hanger. The unique thread shape grips tightly into drywall and the patented head shape is designed to keep your art securely on the screw. The screw can easily be installed using a Philips or flat screwdriver.

Q: The head of DécoScrews™ broke when I was installing it.

A: Thanks for letting us know. We are very sorry to hear about your experience with our DécoScrews™ and would like to find out more, as what you describe is extremely unusual. DécoScrews were designed to be used in drywall only, as the shape of the threaded shaft is conical. This means the more you screw it into the drywall, the harder it becomes to turn. This is what gives it the incredible hold in drywall, but if they are installed in a more dense surface like wood, plaster or concrete walls, they can become so difficult to turn that there is a risk that the head will bend or break if too much force is applied.

Q: Will DécoScrews™ rust if used outdoors?

A: Our patented DécoScrews™ are designed to work in drywall, but the entire screw is coated with nickel, which is non-corrosive, so they will not rust.
