Styling a bookshelf is not easy and it's even more challenging when you have a mishmash of books. There are a few tricks, you can use to help you get those picture perfect shelf looks you see in design magazines, TV shows and on Pinterest (my favourite).
I'm always looking for creative ideas to decorate my walls. Last year I created a clock wall at the cottage above my mini work space.
I walked past this multi-colored barnwood vignette admiring its blue gray repurposed wood finish, but as I got closer I realized it was self-adhesive removable wallpaper. It completely fooled me from a few feet away; that’s how real this faux reclaimed wood pattern looked.
On a recent trip to Montreal to visit family and friends, I also dropped by my favorite design stores, West Elm, Item, and Zone. I love these stores. They sell unique things and the displays are gorgeous, plus they’re always a real source of décor inspiration for looks you can recreate in your own home. Here’s a sample of some my favorite things that caught my eye and my credit card too. Yikes!
